North Mecklenburg High School Class Of 1997 lost several of their classmates during their 10th and 12th grade years. The 5 “Angels” left lasting impressions on the community of North Mecklenburg. The money raised is used to provide scholarships to North Mecklenburg, Hopewell and Hough High School Seniors. Angels of ’97 has provided over $500,000 to local high school students to assist with higher education. Angels of ’97 organization has also expanded over the years to outreach to other families in the community who have suffered the loss of a child or sibling. the rusty rudder will donate 25% of their daily total sales to the angels of ’97 organization on Monday October 13th 2014.
